CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL: Celebrated on 18th of December

On the 18th of December 2010, Little Pearls celebrated X’mas Carnival in the school. Parents and Guardians were invited to be a part of the celebration. The School premises were decorated beautifully with Christmas and New Year decorations.
The celebration started around 10’o clock. Many games and activities were organized for the parents and children and they participated with their kids with full enthusiasm. The children sang Christmas Carols and other songs in the foyer. Games and activities included tatoo making, hair braiding, story telling, caricature, decorating Christmas cap, X-mass tree, pinning the nose, hoopla, chocolate wheel, Rudolph-the red nose reindeer, etc. A X-mas story was shown to the children.
There were number of funfilled activities and children were enjoying a lot. Amidst all this fun came the Santa Claus with his bag of sweets and gifts. The sight of Santa Claus made the children very excited. The Santa distributed sweets and gifts to the children and also took pictures with them.
There were a number of food stalls selling hot snacks and also other stalls selling household items, ces, decorative items and some goodies for the children. A corner for the Candifloss and Sketch was also there. Lucky draw was also held twice and winners were distributed exciting gifts.
Therefore it was a funfilled day which ended around 3’o clock in the evening. Parents and children enjoyed throughout the day and went back happily.

NEWS LETTER FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST, 2010

Little Pearls curriculum is planned to provide special attention to each child and to nurture each one mentally and physically. We at Little Pearls focus on child’s skills of memory and observation, problem solving, logical thinking apart from empowering the vocabulary.

The month of August:

The month started with the theme: Wild Animals and Farm Animals. Each class emphasized on acting out stories, repeating predictable text, rhymes, finger plays, songs, and role-playing. It's great to use seasonal themes because they are meaningful to the children. These activities make the vocabulary more relevant and therefore, more memorable. In the month of August, there was also the Celebration of Independence Day, Raksha Bandhan and Coffee Morning along with Parents- Teachers Meet.

Celebration of INDEPENDENCE DAY: 13.08.2010
On 15 August 1947, India attained freedom from the British Rule. Every year, August 15 is celebrated as the Independence Day in India. This national festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country. The significance of the Independence Day in the existence of a nation is of greater value.
On 13th August morning, Little Pearls celebrated Independence Day at school. The students from Pre-nursery were dressed as the great Leaders of India, eg Mr Manmohan Singh,
Mrs Sheela Dixit, Rani Laxmi Bai, etc and started the celebration by Singing along the Patriotic songs. The whole school staff along with the Parents stood and sang our national anthem JANA GANA MANA. After the celebration the kids were served with Snacks and sweets.

Celebration of RAKSHA BANDHAN: 23.08.2010
The Raksha Bandhan festival was celebrated with great joy and with a festive mood at Little Pearls. The celebration started with a beautiful song dedicated to all the sisters and the importance of Raksha Bandhan. The parents were also invited to the school. After the celebration the whole school was served with sweets and snacks.

Celebration of Coffee Morning And Parent- Teacher meet: 28.08.2010
Coffee Morning: 28th of August was a day of entertainment at Little Pearls. Little Pearls organized a Coffee Morning for all the parents of the House children. The team of Little Pearls along with the kids from Class K.G and Nursury greeted the Parents with a welcome song. Following that there was a short speech along with the Power Point Presentation by Mrs Madhulika Bhupatkar (Director of Little Pearls) on the preview of all the celebrations, events and activities taking place at Little Pearls. After that few games were organized for the Parents, like: making a bridge with newspapers so that it can hold a half litre bottle on it, blind fold and keeping the balloon in the air without using their hands. They participated in the games with full spirit and enthusiasm. However the parents had a good time interacting and knowing each other.

On 28th of August Little Pearls also had Parent- Teacher Meet Day. Following the games, the Parents went to meet the respective teachers of their child. After the meeting was over Coffee and Snacks were served to the Parents. It was a fun-filled morning and parents had an enjoyable experience end of the day.

Little Pearls curriculum is remarkable because it helps in understanding of Indian values and social structure along with the method of pre school education.

LITTLE PEARLS COFFEE MORNING AND PARENT-TEACHERS MEET on 28th AUGUST

Little Pearls Coffee Morning: 28th of August was a day of entertainment at Little Pearls Play School. Little Pearls organized a Coffee Morning for all the parents of the House children.
